Law on September 11, the Saudis threaten US
A bipartisan commission in the US Congress is working on a bill that recognizes the responsibility of Saudi Arabia on 11 September 2011 attacks. This resolution concerned Riyadh and by what the New York Times, the Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel al-Jubeir Obama administration has announced that his country will sell 750 billion in US assets he possesses. Al-Juberi has informed US lawmakers arguing that passage of the resolution could result later a law, and according to the US courts could raise these assets. The Obama administration is trying to stop the passage of this bipartisan commission proposal. This development arrives at a time when the media started to write about 28 pages secret report drafted by the commission of inquiry that was set up to uncover the terrorist attacks. Investigative program 60 Minutes said that Saudi Arabia "indirectly" played an important role in these attacks and as an actor here mentions the Saudi ambassador to the US at the time.
