Ed Sheeran spotted filming scenes for Aussie soap Home and Away

Not only is he one of the most successful musicians Down Under at the minute, but it seems like the red headed singer is now venturing out into the world of acting.
Ed was spotted filming scenes at the famous Palm Beach location earlier today.
He was pictured alongside Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers in the much-loved Aussie soap. The down-to-earth Brit gave the paparazzi a wave as he chatted away and shared jokes with the cast and crew.

According to news.com.au, Ed - who is currently in the middle of his sold-out tour - will star as himself in the show. His guest appearance is set to air later this year.
The singer, who is the only international star to appear on Home and Away, said of the show: "It’s an Australian institution. It’s always on in my local chip shop. I got asked to do it and it sounded like it could be fun."
He then added: "I did Shortland Street in New Zealand as well and I’m sure in Emmerdale or EastEnders ever ask me in England I would do that as well.
"I have got to a point where I really, really don’t care what people think so I’m doing stuff because I enjoy it now rather than because it might be cool. I am just in it for fun."

Despite deciding to appear on the Aussie soap, the Sing superstar did add that he's not planning on making a bid for Hollywood anytime soon.
"With acting, I would have to start at the bottom again and I wouldn’t be comfortable being s*** at something, I would have to learn," he said.
"I’m playing myself so I don’t know if I have to do an Oscar-winning performance. I don’t think I’m a natural actor, I think I’m a natural me."
