Weather has no real impact on our happiness, study finds


Comparing Met Office data with the British Household Panel Survey, which asked people how they felt, researchers found no correlation between sunshine and happiness.
Franz Buscha of Westminster University, who led the study, said: “I was quite surprised.”
The findings will be presented this month at the Royal Economic Society’s annual conference.
Kirk Waite, of the Met Office, said: “Regardless of how it affects our mood, the weather has an important impact on things we do.
So we would always encourage people to keep checking the forecast.
This week could see temperatures of 55F (13C).
